Do I need an account?
The site is open and requires no sign-up. In the iOS and Android app you sign in with your Google account, so your lists stay tied to your profile.
Where does the book data come from?
From Open Library, an open public database. Titles, authors, and covers come from that API, so some details may vary depending on the edition on record.
Does it work offline?
The app opens without a connection so you can check what has already loaded. Finding new books and downloading covers still needs internet.
