An app made by people who also lose track of time reading
Livreiro started with a simple question: why is it so easy to forget what we want to read? The answer became an app that brings discovery, lists, and progress together in one place.
How it started
Between one recommendation and the next, a reading list turns into a pile of open tabs, saved screenshots, and notes on paper. Livreiro exists to sort that mess out with care.
The app uses Open Library, a public book database, to offer search by title, author, or ISBN and suggestions by category. From there, everyone builds their own shelf the way that makes sense to them.
It is an independent project, developed by Cactus Bits, with special attention to details that often get left out: a comfortable dark theme, text in Portuguese and English, and an interface that stays out of the way of reading.
What we believe in
Simple to use
A few taps to log a book. Reading is what matters, not managing it.
Transparent
No ads, no data selling, no hidden accounts. What the app does is spelled out in the terms.
Built to last
Open to improvements, mindful of accessibility, and respectful of your time and your language.
